Year: Senior

Destination: San Diego, California

Where did you go over break/what did you do there?

I went home to San Diego. Spent a lot of time with family. Went surfing, hiking, shopping, ate lots of Mexican and Asian food. Went to Disneyland! And walked around the USS Midway.

What was the most memorable part of the trip?

I think the most memorable part of my time being home was probably what people would count as just a normal night. Devin visited me and we went to watch my sisters high school Basketball game, went to dinner, and then visited my grandma at the hospital. But I remember that night cause it was all the people that I loved the most together. Would you go back/Do you recommend others to go there?

Most definitely would go back. Also, kind of have no choice but to go back and visit family haha. I definitely recommend to others to go! There's a lot to do there, and a lot of good food to eat. And me and Gerry!! We're there too smile emoticon

Destination: Bahrain

Where did you go over break/what did you do there?

I went to Bahrain over break. It's a small country in the Middle East (it's actually smaller than Rhode Island). I went there to visit my family. My niece was going to be baptized there so we all decided to be there for that special occassion and spend the holidays together too.

What was the most memorable part of the trip?

The most memorable part was just being able to spend time with my brothers and parents again because I haven't seen them in over a year. Seeing my niece was also pretty cool since she's the first baby of the family. I also got to drive my dad's boat so that was pretty cool. The food was also AMAZINGGGG. I've missed authentic Middle Eastern food.

Who: Zoriana Telwak

Year: Junior

Destination: Cairns, Australia

Where did you go over break/what did you do there?

Over winter break I went to Australia for 22 days. I started in a city called Cairns (popular for being the closest to the Great Barrier Reef) then headed south to Sydney. When I was there I did a lot of fun stuff. Some other the things that really stuck out in my mind was scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, going on bush walks in the thousand year old Rain forest, going on a helicopter ride, swimming with waterfalls, skydiving, karaoke night in the country side, feeding a large cattle some homemade bread, surfing with some locals, hanging out on the beach with the friends that I made, feeding a kangaroo and holding a koala.

What was the most memorable part of the trip?

The trip was so much fun that its hard to pick one thing that was so memorable. If I were to choose one, Id say the whole trip was great along with the people I meet along the way. Would you go back/Do you recommend others to go there?

I would go back in a heart beat! In fact, I tried to extend my stay a bit and I didn't want to come back hahaha I would definitely recommend people go because the site and sound and people there are so cool and nice. Its a place that you need to go experience.
